This project unveils an innovative design concept for a traditional Chinese medicine clinic, expertly crafted to blend Western retro aesthetics with the rich tapestry of Taiwanese craftsmanship. At the heart of this design lies a captivating "Taiwanese-Western fusion," which not only embodies the essence of contemporary culture but also cultivates a welcoming and tranquil atmosphere for patients. To bring this vision to life, the design team has carefully selected exquisite vintage cake lamps that exude a charming Western flair, pairing them harmoniously with the deep, inviting tones of dark walnut wood. This thoughtful combination is designed to evoke a sense of nostalgia while seamlessly integrating modern elegance. Additionally, we have infused traditional Taiwanese elements—such as intricately detailed mosaic tiles, smooth river pebbles, ornate iron window grilles, and delicate rattan weaving—into the design, creating a rich cultural narrative throughout the space. Overall, this design transcends mere aesthetics; it embodies the harmonious blend of diverse cultural influences, fostering a serene and visually captivating environment. The result is a healing sanctuary that not only invites patients to unwind and rejuvenate but also enriches their experience through thoughtful, intentional design.

To enhance the waiting experience during peak hours, the team thoughtfully designated seating areas outside the clinic. This decision effectively manages foot traffic while ensuring patient comfort. Inside, the main space is adorned with rich wooden elements, soft paint hues, and elegant wicker accents; all of which are harmoniously paired with robust stone tables that establish a warm yet stable ambiance. Moreover, taking full advantage of the soaring ceilings, intricate grid-pattern moldings and stunning terrazzo designs have been beautifully integrated into both the ceiling and flooring. This design choice not only adds visual interest but also creates an immersive sensory experience that artfully intertwines Eastern and Western cultural influences. Consequently, patients are invited to feel at ease in a thoughtfully curated environment.

The team skillfully preserved the original exterior windows while thoughtfully incorporating partial openings and glass bricks into the interior partitions. This strategic design choice not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the space but also facilitates an abundance of natural light.
