The spatial narrative logic of RIVERS OF GLORY is rooted in the spatial genes of Aofeng Academy in Fuzhou. It constructs an order with an axial spatial sequence and forms a dynamic viewing rhythm through an asymmetric wandering path. The front yard of the exhibition area adopts a drop-off system of a five-star hotel, and a perforated aluminum panel curtain wall with a horizontal extension of 82 meters is used to build a landmark interface. The entrance installation art forms a topological relationship between the starry sky dome designed parametrically and the waterscape. Its suspended form coincides with the hydrodynamic characteristics of the Minjiang River Basin. The cloud-shaped sculpture composed of mirror-finished stainless steel grilles and light-guiding acrylic modules realizes the contemporary translation of traditional cultural context through parametric weaving technology.
The visitor circulation unfolds through a deconstructed spatial sequence: In the drop-off area, a framed view window formed by a metal hollow-out screen is presented first, hinting at the spatial hierarchy of the second courtyard. After a 90-degree path turn, one enters the viewing corridor enclosed by a double-height transparent curtain wall. The hazy water courtyard created by the misting system and the translucent cloud stone landscape wall form a visual tension where the real and the virtual coexist.
The main building breaks through the traditional spatial scale with a 4.8-meter-high Low-E ultra-clear glass curtain wall system. Through the design strategy of transparency, it achieves the penetration of three layers of space: the Zen dry landscape in the front yard, the mirror-like waterscape on the central axis, and the stacked green gables in the background. After the visual filtering of the curtain wall system, an integrated design of space, interface and function is achieved, combining them into one.
