“Realm of Refined Living” is a 172-square-meter residence designed for a small family seeking a calm, refined atmosphere with functional clarity and a sense of daily ritual. With three bedrooms and an open-plan layout, the project reinterprets contemporary living through spatial coherence, textural layering, and intuitive transitions.
At the entrance, no formal partitions are used. Instead, a custom full-height cabinet extends seamlessly from the foyer into the living room, guiding movement while integrating storage, display, and visual continuity. A stone-topped half-height counter near the dining table subtly defines zones, offering a multifunctional surface for art, dining prep, and entry drop-off. These details introduce practicality without compromising openness. In the public area, a soft but dynamic rhythm is established through material contrasts—light-toned cabinetry against dark marble, linen-textured walls beside sleek glass, and layered lighting throughout. The ceiling, designed in a gentle winged contour with recessed dual lighting bands, helps to visually dissolve structural beams while enhancing the spatial flow between the living room and the multifunctional area behind the sofa.
The feature wall is finished with elegant stone panels, adding a tactile richness to the TV zone. A custom bookshelf wall in the adjacent area plays with depth and reflection through a composition of gray mirror, open shelving, and dark wood veneer, forming a visual dialogue across the space. In the private realm, the master bedroom adopts a serene tone palette, anchored by a boutique-style glass walk-in wardrobe. The children’s bedrooms are designed with adaptability and hidden functionality in mind—custom platform beds with integrated drawers provide generous storage, while built-in desks and open shelves support daily routines and creative exploration.
Throughout the home, designer applies a thoughtful balance of function and grace. The space is crafted not just to be lived in, but to be experienced—where each surface, light, and line reflects an intention to create lasting comfort, aesthetic depth, and emotional resonance.
