Harbor Grand

Inspired by the imagery of a “grand vessel entering the harbor,” Harbor Grand is a 231-square-meter residence in Kaohsiung City that fully embraces its panoramic waterfront views. Envisioned as a tranquil retreat for leisure and future retirement, the design intertwines natural scenery with interior life through shifting light, soft textures, and grand proportions. The project harmonizes aesthetics, functionality, and emotional belonging, evoking the reassuring calm of returning to a safe port.

The design employs layered wall panels and embedded lighting to articulate depth, while expansive glazing and cascading water curtains frame the sunset, allowing light and shadow to shift with time. The material palette is anchored in low-saturation tones, complemented by wood, marble, and titanium-coated accents that bring refinement and warmth. Balancing modern and classical sensibilities, the space enables residents to experience daily life as a continuous voyage—immersed in harbor vistas and crafted details.

Sustainability and wellness are central to the home’s impact. Expansive glazing modulates natural light to reduce artificial illumination needs, while durable, eco-friendly materials ensure long-term residential health. Ultimately, the project achieves a comprehensive balance of function and aesthetics, providing residents with the serenity of a "safe harbor".
