The Urban Design of Carbon Ecological Complex

Changsha Sany Industrial City, as an urban functional center centered on manufacturing, urgently needs to reshape an urban ecological complex that balances ecology, culture, and economy under the background of carbon neutrality and industrial transformation. Based on the basic characteristics of sustainability, ecological resilience, and climate adaptability, the design proposes the concept of a carbon sink ecological complex with the core of composite carbon reduction strategies such as "ecological security units, vitality circulation units, climate adaptation units, functional composite units, and scale integration units".

In terms of planning structure, a three-dimensional park green axis and urban ecological wind corridors efficiently connect functional areas such as commerce, business, and livable communities. In terms of transportation systems, green corridor bridges form a slow-mobility system connecting ecological nodes such as sky gardens, pocket parks, vibrant plazas, and art theaters, creating a three-dimensional ecological living environment. In terms of heritage revival, virtual reality is used as a carrier to create industrial-themed experience spaces, fostering a post-industrial context integrating art, culture, sports, and wellness. This aims to provide useful references for the construction of high-quality living environments and ecological civilization in the new era.
