This archive building reinterprets the traditional rammed-earth construction found in the rural architecture of northern China. Centered around interconnected corridors and courtyards, it transforms outdoor circulation into sheltered interior spaces, adapting to Ordos’s cold and windy winters. The rammed-earth façade serves not only as a passive thermal buffer but also as a cultural expression, bridging vernacular heritage with contemporary public architecture.
