The studio is envisioned as a space where work and home life quietly intersect. It operates as an interior design office and at the same time as a full-scale smart home, so clients experience future living at a one-to-one scale instead of reading it from drawings. The existing cross-shaped beam becomes an invisible organiser for the plan, separating a public front zone from a focused rear zone while keeping the entire space visually connected.

From the street, visitors see warm light, plants, and books rather than a formal reception counter. Full-height glazing leads to a large marble kitchen bar that serves as a reception desk, coffee counter, and presentation table. Projects are discussed over brewed tea and espresso, so the first encounter with the brand feels more like being invited into a home. A freestanding timber shelving wall with integrated lighting filters the view towards the meeting area and displays design books, models and small objects that reflect the studio’s taste and its long term relationships with clients and makers.

The meeting area is treated as a dining room. A long timber table, comfortable chairs and layered blinds turn strong daylight into soft horizontal bands and create a calm backdrop for drawings, samples and laptops. There is no solid door; the atmosphere remains informal, since all visits are by appointment and most conversations naturally extend from specific projects to everyday life and family.

Behind the beam, modular workstations and continuous shelving support the daily production of drawings, specifications and mock ups. The palette is deliberately restrained. Mineral painted walls, timber, stone and textiles form a neutral canvas that can receive new furniture, art and technology over time without increasing visual noise.

Throughout the space, a fully integrated smart home system controls fresh air, humidity, curtains, air conditioning, lighting and access through an app and by voice. Technology is present but seldom seen. Cables and devices are carefully concealed, so what remains in view is light, material and the feeling of living comfortably inside a piece of design that takes care of both body and mind.
