Poly · LING NAN ZHEN YUE Demonstration Area takes "Treasure Lingnan's Essence, Embrace Oriental Elegance" as its design origin, integrating the spatial wisdom of traditional Lingnan gardens with contemporary sustainable architectural concepts to create a spiritual anchor of the community that combines cultural depth and ecological resilience. Abandoning flashy appearances, the project returns to the essence of Oriental living, constructing a symbiotic field of humans, nature, and culture through restrained yet precise architectural language.

Drawing spatial logic from the texture of traditional Lingnan courtyards, the design adopts a "two- level courtyard" layout, forming a progressive sequence from public to private and from open to enclosed. This strategy not only echoes the regional cultural context but also effectively guides natural ventilation and lighting, reduces energy consumption, and embodies passive design principles. The circular circulation connects reception, negotiation, and exhibition functions to improve space utilization efficiency. Meanwhile, a flexible partition system is reserved to adapt to future functional evolution, reducing demolition waste and practicing the full-lifecycle sustainability concept.

In terms of material strategy, architecture, landscape, and interior extend integrally, blurring the internal and external boundaries and promoting the organic penetration of the building and the environment. The main gate combines the scroll motif with Lingnan overhanging eaves, and the entrance ceiling is embedded with phoenix flower patterns, which not only carry the beautiful meaning of "achieving success upon returning home" but also strengthen place identity through local symbols. Particularly crucially, the design deeply integrates ten intangible cultural heritage (ICH) crafts—lacquerware, gold splashing, ceramics, bamboo weaving, etc. These materials derived from nature and enduring over time not only endow the space with authentic texture and marks of time but also, with their characteristics of low embodied carbon, renewability, and degradability, become a local expression of green construction.
