Dawn Unceasing

Titled Dawn Unceasing, the project responds to the site’s excellent natural lighting conditions and the contemporary desire for a minimalist lifestyle.

The designers depart from conventional enclosed layouts, integrating the dining area, living room, and study into a unified open space that shifts with the movement of light. As daylight becomes the primary element, the rhythm of living becomes lighter and more ordered.

A palette of soft, light tones—like morning mist—establishes a seamless visual field, allowing visitors to immediately experience openness and ease, as if each day begins with a gentle sense of renewal.

“Dawn” represents the moment when light first emerges, while “unceasing” signifies its continuous flow. Through precise spatial planning, light moves unobstructed. During the day, artificial lighting is rarely needed, as natural light gradually enters from the balcony, extending through the open-plan living and dining areas into the deeper parts of the home.

In the kitchen, moru glass achieves a balance between functionality and perception. Its translucent texture effectively contains cooking fumes while allowing light to pass through, diffusing it into a softer glow and maintaining visual continuity.

To reinforce the concept of continuous light, large-scale linear lighting defines the ceiling. When illuminated at night, it traces a luminous line across the space, echoing the presence of daylight.

The design intentionally minimizes decorative elements, allowing lines to return to their essential form and making the blank space a key. As the space is liberated, traces of daily life can unfold naturally.
