2024 Taitung Tie Hua Light Festival Season 1: A Feast of Flowers.

The 2024 Taitung Tie Hua Light Festival commenced on April 4, 2024, featuring a series of thematic light installations under the title “A Feast of Flowers.” This event harmoniously integrated the natural elements of Taitung's marine and forest environments, presenting five principal light zones: the Tree of Life, the Sea of Roses, the Sea of Reeds, the Fairy Tale Dandelions, and the Flower Forest. Central to the festival was the Tree of Life, which included a centuries-old Autumn Maple Tree that symbolized the origins of various forms of life. The Sea of Roses evoked the coastal climate of Taitung, while the Fairy Tale Dandelions invited attendees into an enchanting realm. The Sea of Reeds created a romantic ambiance, characterized by reeds that swayed gently in the wind. The vibrant floral displays throughout the streets offered participants the opportunity to experience the captivating beauty of springtime blooms.

2024 Taitung Tie Hua Light Festival Season 2: A Brilliant Starry Sky.

Five distinct exhibition areas have been conceptualized: Worry-Free Outer Space, Phantom of the Moon, Planetary Waltz, 12 Constellations Promenade, and Meteor Tunnel. The “Galaxy Exploration” area is designed around the eight planets, with their layout reflecting their distribution within the galaxy. This section features LED string lights to illustrate the galaxy, and a designated walking trail allows visitors to navigate the area and take photographs, thereby creating an immersive experience akin to being within the Milky Way. “Worry-Free Outer Space” consists of an inflatable art installation portraying a whimsical astronaut seated atop a cabin, gazing skyward at the stars. Beneath this sculpture is a sea of LED lights, which contributes to a charming and tranquil ambiance.

2024 Taitung Tie Hua Light Festival Season 3: Polar Fairy Tales.

The exhibition centers on the theme of “Polar Fairy Tales,” which creates a whimsical environment reminiscent of the North Pole. A thoughtfully designed exhibition area accommodates both Christmas and Lunar New Year celebrations, enhancing the allure of Taitung during the evening hours.
