In dense urban settings where compact living spaces are ubiquitous, design must continuously push beyond conventional boundaries to visually expand the sense of space. Here, white becomes the ultimate design language, creating a unified visual field where light itself becomes the central theme.

By deliberately maintaining a pure white palette, the interior preserves the clarity and transmittance of light, allowing its warmth and subtle details to fully emerge. This restrained material strategy ensures visual balance and harmony throughout the circulation flow, proving that simplicity can amplify spatial depth and artistic presence.

The material strategy balances economic efficiency with a commitment to authentic, understated texture. Observing the original glossy white flooring, the design preserves a coherent tonal language by introducing matte white finishes on walls and furniture. This creates a subtle dialogue between gloss and matte, allowing fine linear details to emerge with purity and clarity, enhancing the quiet elegance of the space without disrupting its white foundation.

Structurally, the project combines steel framing with carpentry, using formaldehyde-free, eco-friendly systems to reduce indoor air pollution often found in new buildings. The engineered wood structure relies on recycled wood composites, minimising the need for raw timber and helping protect forests and natural resources.

Upon entering, a full-height white steel screen becomes the focal element, setting the tone for the entire interior and subtly defining the threshold between inside and out. Seamlessly connected to the dining table, this screen-and-furniture installation functions both as a sculptural centrepiece and a flexible display surface, balancing visual lightness with practical use.

The public zone is designed as a fully open, square layout, integrating the kitchen, dining area, living room, and study into a single, harmonious volume. This configuration meets diverse living needs while maximising natural light and fluid circulation, creating a shared environment where different spaces remain connected, fostering a sense of closeness and emotional bonding among occupants.
