About The Entry

Centered on Nantou’s Indigenous culture, the project is inspired by three key themes—light, dance, and harvest—to create an immersive lantern zone that integrates lighting art, spatial storytelling, and cultural reinterpretation. An open, free-flowing circulation route connects a sequence of themed scenes, including the welcoming entrance, playful parade, forest party, woven memories, and starlit camping. As visitors move through and pause within the space, they are invited to experience the Indigenous philosophy of living in harmony with nature and sharing the joy of abundance. The design reinterprets the warp and weft of traditional weaving through a concept of digital weaving, while incorporating imagery of animals commonly found in Nantou’s mountain forests, layered lighting environments, and approachable interactive settings. Together, these elements create an exhibition experience rich in cultural warmth, family-friendly appeal, and nighttime visual charm, showcasing the unique intersection of nature, humanity, and contemporary design in Nantou’s Indigenous communities.
