About The Entry

The "2026 Baoshan Starlight Festival" adopts "Light" as its central medium of connectivity. By integrating dynamic lighting, interactive technology, and rhythmic transitions, the design allows visitors to experience a resonance between flowing light-shadows and musical beats as they traverse the site.

Light is redefined here—not merely as illumination, but as a narrative material that maps local memories. By layering distinct "lightscape structures" across the Shuangxi Bridge, the waterfront, and pedestrian walkways, we have sculpted a nocturnal experience that is simultaneously immersive and futuristic. This festival successfully fuses music and light art with local heritage, transforming Baoshan’s night from a mere backdrop into a vivid, walkable, and memorable "luminous stage."

As the inaugural large-scale event of Baoshan Township, the festival debuted on March 8, 2026. Using "Light Art" as its core architectural language, the project reimagines the local nocturnal landscape through the integration of musical performance and spatial design. The master plan utilizes the Shuangxi Bridge walkway as the primary axis, weaving together Hakka cultural elements with waterfront topography.

The journey features thematic zones including the Pentagon Starlight Corridor, Geometric Star-Tunnel, Iridescent Winged Pegasus, and Floral Light-Verse. Through projection mapping and technological interaction, we constructed an immersive "perceptual path." The event transitions from the daytime "Baoshan Selection Market"—which showcases local aesthetics—to the nighttime "Starlight Convergence" music gala.

The design creates a rhythmic nocturnal path structured like a symphony:

・The Overture (The Pentagon Starlight Corridor): A cycling palette of cool white, warm gold, and amber creates a sense of visual extension and guidance.

・The Development (Geometric Star-Tunnel): Continuous geometric arches reinforce spatial depth and perspective.

・The Climax: * Iridescent Winged Pegasus: A 2.1-meter installation combining mechanical dynamics with iridescent light effects to create a powerful landmark.

・Fireworks of Light & Floral Light-Verse: Utilizes Dichroic Materials to showcase intricate chromatic dispersion and multi-dimensional rhythm.

・The Coda (Waterfront Starlight Walk): Low-color-temperature warm white light softens the landscape, guiding visitors toward a state of tranquility and reflection.

By positioning light as the protagonist of spatial navigation, this project achieves a profound interlacing of humanity, environment, and technological perception.
