Amidst the relentless pulse of the city, a home should be more than a shelter; it must be a sanctuary for the soul. Anchored by the philosophy of “a poetic bath in light,” this residence eschews cold rigidity in favor of a warm, creamy aesthetic, creating a symbiotic interplay of light and color. The design weaves low-saturation tones with organic textures, curating an immersive retreat where softness effortlessly dissolves structural severity.

The public realm unfolds as a fluid composition of light and art, with creamy hues providing a serene backdrop. The TV feature wall, clad in textured paint, reveals delicate nuances as it catches the light. Recessed ceiling fixtures and indirect under-cabinet illumination cultivate a comfortable ambiance where light is felt, yet its sources remain concealed. Curvilinear furniture softens the rigid geometry of the cabinetry, while rattan accents on the dining wall introduce a touch of Nanyang-style languor, naturally promoting emotional interaction.

In the corridor, floor-to-ceiling handleless cabinetry transforms bulky storage into seamless planes, extending visual depth while maintaining an uncluttered passage. At the end of the hall, a floating cabinet design accommodates robotic cleaners, with bottom-mounted lighting casting a gentle guiding glow that transforms the entry into a welcoming ritual.

The private quarters offer a gentle embrace. An integrated design logic defines the bedrooms, where bedside tables, desks, and wardrobes merge into a cohesive whole. This integration maximizes every inch of space while ensuring fluid circulation. Softened by adjustable sheer shades and beige upholstery, the space becomes a protective cocoon, delivering a profound sense of healing.

The design balances the visual weight of dark wood floors with the soft touch of tech-fabrics and cotton upholstery, allowing light to play across the textures and create a multi-layered sensory journey. The “poetic bath in light” is more than a stylistic choice—it signifies a return to simple, authentic living. With functionality tucked away and light taking center stage, the project offers a pure sanctuary to unwind and rediscover the essence of life.
