This bag was created at the intersection of fashion, architecture, and sculpture. My first degree is in architecture, so even in a small accessory I think not only about decoration, but first of all about form, volume, plasticity, and construction. My background in art school also shaped this way of seeing: it taught me to perceive classical sculpture not as a museum object, but as a living source of images, lines, and emotion.
The bag is built around a fragment of a face: the eyes of Michelangelo’s David, one of the most recognizable images in classical sculpture. For me, this is not only a recognizable quotation from classical art, but also a very personal image. I drew similar plaster fragments many times in academic drawing classes, first in art school and later at university. Because of this, David’s eyes are connected not only to world sculpture, but also to my own experience of studying, observing, and closely analyzing form. I transfer this sculptural motif from the space of academic drawing and museum culture into a contemporary object that can be worn. In this way, the accessory becomes not just a functional item, but a small art object in which classical heritage gains a new life.
It was important to me that the bag should feel almost like a miniature architectural element: a unified volume, clear geometry, a strict silhouette, and a sculptural relief that work in the same way as facade details or the plasticity of an antique fragment. At the same time, the object remains part of a fashion look and enters into dialogue with the body, clothing, and movement.
Technically, the bag also combines art with contemporary technology: it was 3D printed, then hand-sanded and painted so that the surface would feel more unified, matte, and closer to a sculptural material. The lid is held in place with magnets, which keeps the construction clean and minimal while remaining practical to use.
