About The Entry

Eternal Grove represents a creative conceptual design for large-scale public buildings combining emotional depth with humane considerations. In response to the challenges posed by limited land resources, the erosion of cultural heritage, and the monotonous memorial spaces amid urban development, this project incorporates a spiral structure and vertical storage technology to enhance land use efficiency and introduce advanced technological features, such as QR code tombstones, facilitating a modernized approach to remembrance that preserves memories in the digital era.

The architectural design prioritizes environmental harmony and sustainable development. It employs eco-friendly materials, including Low-E Glass, renewable timber, and metal composites, to guarantee structural integrity while mitigating environmental impact. The interior layout is segmented into functional zones: a memorial area, a public interaction space, a study and research section, and an ecological experience zone. This diverse configuration offers the public a comprehensive platform for education, reflection, and cultural exchange. This design not only accommodates the diverse needs of various user groups but also guarantees flexibility and efficiency in utilization. Moreover, the intelligent management system, coupled with a barrier-free and user-centred flow design, enhances the facility's safety and overall visitor experience.

Eternal Grove transcends the role of a mere remembrance site; it serves as a bridge between the past and future while fostering the preservation of traditional culture. Also, it underscores its value as both a green building and essential social infrastructure, positioning itself as a valuable practice in future urban development.
